Angelina Miers

Angelina Miers is a jazz vocalist born in Minsk, Belarus. She was introduced to jazz by her voice teacher and instantly fell in love with this music through Ella Fitzgerald. After receiving an academic scholarship, she moved to Long Island, NY, and currently resides in Brooklyn. Inspired by the First Lady of Song, Angelina loves vocal improvisation and writing original vocalese lyrics to bebop compositions. Angelina has studied with Rosana Eckert and Peter Eldridge, she currently is a mentee in the Women in Jazz Organization Mentors Program led by Roxy Coss, Tahira Clayton, and Allegra Levy, and she is an alumnus of the 2021 Boysie Lowery Living Jazz Residency.

Angelina Kolobukhova was born and raised in Minsk, Belarus, and started singing when she was 9 years old and has also had formal classical piano training. She was introduced to jazz by her early mentor Veronika Yanovskays and has been performing jazz and popular music as well as neo-soul in her hometown and more recently internationially.
