Tyreek McDole is a Haitian-American baritone vocalist based in New York City, whose soulful warmth and masterful command of jazz tradition have rapidly marked him as one of the most promising new voices in the genre. He first captured attention by winning the Outstanding Vocalist Award at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s 2018 Essentially Ellington Competition. In 2023, he further solidified his reputation by winning first place in the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, becoming only the second male vocalist to do so in the competition’s history. In 2025, he released his debut album Open Up Your Senses on Artwork Records—a beautifully crafted and spiritually resonant project that earned him acclaim, including four stars in DownBeat and praise as a bold and thoughtful debut.
